Information we collect
Information you provide. We only ask for what a form actually needs:
- Email address, when you subscribe to the newsletter or submit any form on the website.
- First name and, where a form asks for it, last name.
- Newsletter consent and the moment that consent was given.
- Free AI Lab registration details, such as your name, email address and optional newsletter consent.
- Company, organisation, role and context information when you enquire about training, masterclasses, consultancy, the Mastermind or corporate access.
- The content of enquiries, applications and support messages you send to us.
Information collected automatically. When you use the website or submit a form, limited technical information is recorded:
- The page URL you submitted a form from and the referring website.
- UTM campaign parameters present in the link you arrived through.
- An affiliate or referral code present in the link you arrived through.
- A FirstPromoter referral identifier, where a referral cookie is present.
- IP address, browser and device information, where this is processed by connected service providers such as our hosting, email and referral providers as part of delivering their service.
- Technical server, security and conversion information, such as newsletter conversion events and information needed to keep the website secure and functioning.
Payment and subscription references. Where you purchase a paid programme, a place in a paid product such as the Mastermind or a course, or a corporate subscription, we hold references such as payment status, customer, subscription, invoice and transaction identifiers.
Why we use personal data
- Sending the Online Influence newsletter to subscribers.
- Providing access to the Free AI Lab and its onboarding communication.
- Managing paid individual and corporate subscriptions and access.
- Delivering training, events, masterclasses, consultancy and related services.
- Responding to enquiries, applications and support questions.
- Managing affiliate attribution and calculating commissions.
- Processing payments and issuing invoices.
- Improving the website and measuring the effectiveness of our campaigns.
- Security, fraud prevention, legal and financial administration.
Legal grounds
We do not rely on the same legal ground for everything. In practice:
- Consent — for the newsletter and other marketing email. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Performance of a contract — for paid services, subscriptions, event participation and providing access you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — for administration, website and campaign analytics, service improvement, affiliate attribution and security, where our interest does not override your rights.
- Legal obligation — for accounting, taxation and other compliance requirements.
Free OII Lab and Skool
Registering for the Free AI Lab may involve the following:
- Your registration details are stored in Airtable, which we use as our CRM.
- Operational onboarding email about your access may be sent through MailerLite.
- You may receive an invitation to the OII Lab community and learning environment hosted on Skool.
- Newsletter consent on the registration form is separate and optional.
- If you do not give newsletter consent, you are not subscribed to the newsletter — only operational messages about your access are sent.
Affiliates and FirstPromoter
- A referral link from a partner or promoter may contain an affiliate code.
- FirstPromoter, our affiliate tracking provider, may place or read a referral cookie in your browser.
- Referral details can be stored with your record so we can identify the promoter who introduced you.
- Referral attribution may be retained for a period so that future eligible purchases can be credited correctly.
- We use this only to administer the affiliate programme and to calculate commissions.
Payments and corporate subscriptions
Corporate subscriptions and in-company programmes are typically arranged by agreement and invoice. For those purchases we store payment status and transaction or invoice references so we can administer access and meet our accounting obligations.
When online payments are processed through Stripe, payment-card information is handled by Stripe. Influence Institute B.V. may receive payment status, customer, subscription and transaction references needed to administer access, payments and accounting. Not every purchase runs through Stripe: corporate subscriptions and in-company programmes may also be paid and administered by invoice.
Service providers and recipients
Influence Institute B.V. shares personal data with service providers only to the extent needed for the service they deliver, and only where that provider is relevant to your interaction with us. Not every provider receives every category of personal data.
- Airtable — CRM, registrations, contact records and access administration.
- MailerLite — newsletters and operational email.
- FirstPromoter — referral attribution and affiliate administration.
- Skool — the OII Lab community and learning environment.
- Stripe — eligible online payments and subscription administration.
- Zapier — secure workflow automation between connected services.
- Riverside — webinars, online sessions and recordings.
- Website hosting and development providers — operating and maintaining this website.
- Professional advisers, accountants and public authorities, where this is legally required.
International data transfers
Some service providers are established outside the European Economic Area, or may process personal data outside it. Where this is legally required, Influence Institute B.V. relies on appropriate safeguards recognised under applicable data-protection law for such transfers.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purpose it was collected for, for as long as a subscription or relationship is active, for as long as consent stands, or for as long as the law requires.
- Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe, withdraw consent or make a valid deletion request.
- A limited suppression record may be retained afterwards to ensure that an unsubscribed address is not added again unintentionally.
- Account, access and subscription data is retained while access or the customer relationship is active, and afterwards where needed for administration, disputes and legal obligations.
- Invoices, payment records and accounting information are retained for the statutory period required under Dutch tax and accounting law.
- Affiliate and referral records are retained while needed to administer attribution, commissions and possible disputes.
- Contact and support information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry and related administration.
Security
We take reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we select service providers that are expected to do the same. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Subject to the applicable conditions, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Have your data deleted.
- Ask us to restrict processing.
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Receive your data in a portable format, where applicable.
- Withdraw consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from the newsletter.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@onlineinfluence.com. If you are in the Netherlands, you can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Children
The website and services are primarily intended for adult professional and business audiences. They are not specifically designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The current version and its update date will always be available on this page.
